昨（三）日根據外國媒體報導，總統蔡英文在台灣時間十二月二日晚間十一時，和美國新任總統唐納．川普，雙方以越洋電話通話十分鐘，創下台美斷交後，元首通話的新紀錄，美國媒體報導，這項舉動偏離美國政府一中政策，勢必會激怒中國，我陸委會則說，美是我國友好國家，中國大陸方面應以平常心看待。
陸委會表示，中華民國是主權國家，與美國有長期友好的關係，蔡總統祝賀美國總統當選人，並強調維繫未來友好合作關係實屬正常，大陸方面應以平常心看待，並強調我政府重視台美和兩岸關係，也致力維護臺海及區域的和平穩定發展，也是符合各方利益與國際社會的共同期待。
